WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.(2/2/2022) – Florida Memorial University snapped a 10-game losing streak to Keiser University, defeating the host No. 8 Seahawks 9-6 Wednesday afternoon at KU’s Silvester Field.

A number of FMU Lions played for the Bums collegiate summer league team. FMU’s Nathan Harris Jr. hit his first home run of the season, a 2-run shot in the top of the fifth that gave the Lions a 5-0 lead. Haris is no stranger to hitting the long ball. This summer he participated in the CJ Summer League HR Derby and last year won the HBCU World Series Home Run Derby Championship.

Harris wasn’t the only Bum to make an impact in the upset victory. Bums team capatain Jalen Young was 1-4 and scored a run. Luis Ruiz, another impact player for the Bums, also went 1-4 with a run.
